In 1934 the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad commissioned a drawing of Zephyrus, god of the west wind, to promote their new diesel-powered Zephyr. In 2020, the art director Bernard Higton chose it for the cover of Logomotive, a book he was designing on the great days of rail travel in America. The original artwork was memorable and full of energy, but somewhat lacking in technical skill, so Bernard Highton commissioned Neil Gower, known for his Bill Bryson book covers, to redraw it in a stronger, simpler style that still retained an authentic Art Deco look. This limited-edition print is numbered from 1 to 200 and signed by the artist.
